The 35 Hour Day

I would like to kindly petition the universe for a 35 hour day. Every day. I would devote the hours as follows:

  • 9 hours of (sound) sleep
  • 1 hour of creativity
  • 4 hours of (quality) time with my best friend
  • 1 hour of stimulating conversation with someone else
  • 2 hours dedicated solely to sunshine absorption
  • 1 hour just to plan for tomorrow
  • 5 hours of formal learning
  • 5 hours of informal learning (inclusive of all required work & necessary productivity)
  • 1 hour to maintain correspondences with all of my favorites scattered around the world
  • 2 hours of physical activity by which to raise my heart rate and blood pressure by a mechanism other than stress
  • 1 hour 3 times per day to just enjoy the preparation and consumption of food
  • 1 hour to read something interesting

I don’t think this is an unreasonable request at all. In fact, I think the world might be a more productive and peaceful place if we could all accommodate this schedule. I merely want to be happy, healthy, and productive and the reasonable, academic in me hypothesizes that it will take 35 hours a day to make this happen. Is that too much to ask?
